One of the more ambitious 1-2 day rides in/around the South Shore, its clear why this trail is a favorite amongst riders. Not for the feint of heart is the 2-day challenge, with day 1 including an ascent of 700m to Boz Salkyn (2,500m), a mountain pasture/jailoo situated 15-17km from Bokonbaevo city. Overnite with local sheperds and experience life as a nomadic herder before starting day 2. Alternately, opt for car support carrying bikes and riders directly to Boz Salkyn, and enjoy a 1-day moderate trek along various mountain pastures with panoramic views to distant Lake Issyk Kul, before a thrilling descent through Tosor Gorge and on to picturesque Skazka canyons at the base of the lake shoreline.

Boz Salkyn – Skazka is a 29 mile less popular easy route located near Bokombaevo. This mountain bike only route and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route climbs 3,252 ft with a max elevation of 8,400 ft then descends -3,581 ft.
