If you prefer not riding your bike and just crossing the same river 12 times carrying your bike then this is the trail for you!

Awesome trail, killer scenery. We were visiting and highly recommend, the (Road) climb to get there was long and a good warmup.

This isn't the downhill section of Spencer. It is though the most beautiful ride up to the top where Spencer descent and Trace ridge start.

Whoever wrote that description is either a bitter and slow old fart, or someone trying to keep people away from a gem. Cause that’s what it is, a flowy gem.

Super fun. Mildly technical, definitely a blue for Pisgah. Highly recommend in combo with fletcher creek upper and lower!

I almost ran into a black bear right before trace ridge/spencer intersection on June 23, 2019. I was traveling up from the east side to ride down Trace Ridge. The bear was about 20 yards ahead traveling (barreling) down the hill right before twilight. Another user reported a bear at ingles field gap recently so potentially beware.

This trail is almost as bad as having to take a lap in history class. Let alone take a history test. This trail is worse than the entire Ottoman Empire. SAD! Also, massIvly overrated, screw the 20th Century.

Trail description is far from true! Fun, flowy trail that is worth linking up with Fletcher.

Super fun, rolling, bermy and flowy trail with still a lot of option for air maneuver!

Don't agree with this trail description, it's a fun trail that's not a creek gutter anymore.

Leaves are beginning to pile up at spots. Doesn't affect traction much - still plenty of grip, but does make seeing rocks and finding lines a bit more difficult.
