  11. Bear left onto Tahoe Rim Trail (Brockway).
  12. Continue for 2 kilometers.
  13. Keep left to take Tahoe Rim Trail (Martis Peak).
  14. Continue for 2.5 kilometers.
  15. Turn left onto Martis Peak Lookout Road.
  16. Continue for 100 meters.
  17. Turn right onto Martis Peak Road (267-10).
  18. Continue for 1 kilometer.
  19. Make a right U-turn to stay on Martis Peak Road (267-10).
  20. Continue for 1 kilometer.
  21. Turn left onto Martis Peak Lookout Road.
  22. Continue for 100 meters.
  23. Turn right onto TRT/Martis Peak Connector.

I didn't see any "forest roads closed" signs going up; I did see "Sierra Pacific private property closed" signs off to the side of the road. Road is broken concrete/pavement and entirely "gravel-bike-able"
