The is a great loop that incorporates two out-and-backs (submarine rock and chicken point) and hits the Hog Trails. I like to climb back up Hogwash after descending Pig Tail the first time and run it again since Pig Tail is so fun

Trail Pig Tail
This trail is a blast! As with a lot of Sedona, momentum is your friend and as you twist and turn downhill get ready for rolls, jumps, and a drop. Combine this with all the Hog trails and in my opinion becomes epic.

Worth it! I actually also enjoyed the trail out-and-back, felt a bit more remote than other areas of Sedona, and has some pretty interesting sections including a few warm-up slickrock areas before the main feature.

A super fun trail with some good jumps of no consequences if one doesn’t hit them perfectly. It’s a good way to wrap up the other hog trails before heading back to the trailhead. It would also be fun to run laps using Precary for the ascent.

Cool rock features and great views but this whole area is very pedaly, even for Sedona. There are much more fun descents in the area.

Lots of pedaling with little reward. A couple super fun, short descents but then back to more pedaling. Great views and trail building, maybe worth it once if you like climbing tech but dont like descending.

The Hogs loop feels like you're always climbing and never really descending. There are a couple of super fun, very short tech downhills but then right back into washes and pedaly sections. The views are great and the trail building is excellent but if you have a limited time in Sedona, there are better trails to ride.

One very difficult move in the downhill direction that's clearly double black, otherwise easier than hog heaven. Beautiful views and definitely worth riding.

Fun trail, I agree with others that it feels harder than single black, and I found it more difficult than high on the hog, but slightly easier than the steep section of hiline.

Trail Hogwash
I feel like a blend for @bensigig and @djevans. Mostly a twister with bits of up and down. Great run riding. Some tech bits are intermediate for sure, but almost all ridable, maybe on second try. But the exposure is attention getting throughout, and gripping in spots. And some of those tricky spots have even more exposure than average, and are off camber for extra spice. So those sections need to be committed to, or plan to walk (three or four sections of 20 feet?).

Great descending trail. Comparing Peccary to Mystic to Hogwash vs Hogwash, I found it more fun to bomb this down from Hogwash and come up Mystic than to do the west half of Hogwash.

Traveling west to east, this trail has many sections that are hike-a-bike. Once section was a steep ramp that required steps be chiseled to get up it. Don't recommend this direction.

Echo @twowheeledwanderer. Don't skip this if you're in the area. Not remarkable getting there, but spinning around on top and the rollers down are a fun treat, and you are very rewarded with views. A very spicy creek crossing is a fun drop into going both ways (advanced riding or short 30 foot hike-a-bike). But riding out of the creek ain't either way ain't going to happen.

Trail Hog Heaven
Hog Heaven is harder than High on the Hog. There are a few moves you should look at before attempting. Some of the corners are so blind, on my first ride of it, that I had to really slow down and realize I wasn't clearing this one first try. Some intense climbs and super steep dowmhill sections that will make you pucker and laugh at the same time. Highly reccommend it because damn this trail makes you feel alive, takes your breath away, nearly falling off cliffs while laughing down massive slickrock rolls, etc. But why else do we do this? Go ride this trail.

The Hog Trails are a must-ride for any intermediate-expert rider in Sedona. Some say they're as difficult as Hiline, but I disagree. There's nothing as steep or loose. The technical parts are mostly tricky narrow sections of the trail with exposure to the side. If you want to make it more challenging there are plenty of alt-lines to the side to play around on. Mystic-Pigtail-Hogwash-Broken Arrow-Submarine Rock-Little Horse is an extremely fun loop with amazing views. Trail Hogwash
A note to the intermediate riders -- I took my dad (an intermediate rider) on this trail today based off bensgig's comment above. While maybe not as technically difficult as Hog Heaven, this trail is not what I would consider to be intermediate-friendly. There is quite a bit of exposure along narrow, up and down trail that I think would make most intermediate riders fairly uncomfortable. You aren't going to die if you fall, but the rider's left gives way to 10 - 25 ft embankments/slick rock drops where a fall could result in a potentially serious injury. We also found there to be more than "a few" technical spots that would give an intermediate rider trouble. Would recommend Slim Shady, Templeton, & Easy Breezy to those looking for more intermediate-friendly black diamond trails.

With that said, I think most advanced riders would enjoy this trail. Personally, I would rate this as a fairly solid black diamond and Hog Heaven a double black diamond.

It is a slow Tech up and down for most of the time. A little bit of a grind but as you get to the other trails that it connects to it is worth it. Are usually ride it every time I come here. People go to encounter tons of hikers going both directions. I would say the trail is a little bit of intermediate more with a tiny bit of advanced points
