Ride within your abilities. Ride at your on risk.
Tour four of the main trails that have been permitted during this 2-year pilot period. Expect steep fire road climbs, and highly technical descents unlike what we have available to ride legally in the East Bay.
The ride will be on the difficult side due to the climbing involved.
These trails are rated black diamond, so riders should be comfortable descending on steep and loose terrain. There will be many bailout points along the ride if anyone gets in over their heads, and the wild flowers are still blooming so it should be a beautiful day out even if you cut the ride short.
Again this ride is probably best for technically proficient riders, intermediate to advanced in great aerobic condition. Definitely not for the beginner or the out of shape seasoned rider. You must enjoy a tough climb that leads to a great descent. Trails are steep like the steepest sections of back side of China camp generally, but with consistently steep and looser dirt. Trails are also fairly narrow bench cut like back side China camp in sections as well. There are gap jumps and drops on the trails in sections, and all have ride around options for the most part.
