Based on the 77km round the island walking trail called Grande Trilho.
Most of the trail can be done on bike, but some of the descents down to the bays and the way out are not, or will require a very hard and dangerous hike a bike. Some of the sections include via ferrata style portions of trail...

It`s also important to bare in mind that altough rideable, most of the sections were meant for walking, therefore following the trail signs per se, is not the most fun experience you can have on a mtb.

My suggestion is to break it into smaller loops or rides, check out how it interacts with the other trails on trailforks.

Work in progress.

Trail Ridden Direction

Trailforks scans users ridelogs to determine the most popular direction each trail is ridden. A good flowing trail network will have most trails flowing in a single direction according to their intension.
The colour categories are based on what percentage of riders are riding a trail in its intended direction.
