Rated Blue likely due to some grunt factor and warp speed descent potential. Otherwise I found no real "technical" areas or features. The climb is worse on paper than in reality which is often the opposite. This climbing section is built so as to bring you up without ever being too much grunt for too long in any one area. It did however give me that "false summit" feeling a couple times when I thought I should be near the top-out but was not yet Wink

VERY exposed to sun/weather so prepare for heat or wind or rain, etc. because only a few areas where woods provide good shelter. This exposure provides nice views almost all the time though. As is common with many PNW trails in summer, some corners were getting blown out on the edge due to dry soils.

This loop is only 5 miles by gravel road from the 11 mile Rendezvous Basin loop so you could make a big day out of linking them. You can also ride from Mazama to the Rendezvous Basin trail and back which makes the single track actually seem easy compared to climbing the Fawn Creek gravel monster hill. - Crankijames on Pinkbike/Trailforks

A great flowy cross country trail. A gravel bike or a low travel mountain bike is all you need. Anything else is extreme overkill. Definitely a green trail nothing on this trail merits a blue rating

I can’t believe how great this climbing trail is! So much joy - gorgeous scenery, beautiful flora, and an even, manageable, consistent grade the entire way. Just wonderful climbing.

Road well with a gravel bike on 650B x47 tires.

Really gorgeous ride with lots of little 'just around the bend moments when the scenery surprises you again. Plenty of uphill bit not a technical route. More of a "hiking on your bike" type ride. I loved it!

Trails were in great shape. Used the service road for the climb up. Watch out for cows! Several had escaped the fencing and surprised us on the trail. They easily moved along, but a couple had calves with them and were more suspicious. I’m a new mountain biker and found the terrain easy to navigate (non-technical), and the views absolutely stunning. This is a pretty long ride though, with a lot more climbing than I’d prefer as a beginner. If you like to climb it’s a great XC trail. If you don’t I think a drop off at the top of the forest road would be possible.

The part of the trail that isn’t on the road is flowy and fun, and quite easy/nontechnical. I did see a mountain lion on the trail, it walked away when it saw me but clearly this is their territory.

Definitely a cross-country ride. Lots of ups and downs. Nothing technical, no big berms or any jumps or features. Beautiful wide open ridge ride at the top. About 1/3 of the trail is gravel road, so that part is kind of boring.

Give this trail a few more weeks. Still quite a bit of snow in the shaded areas.

This is a ridiculously good ride. So much stunning singletrack, fast and flowy descents, and scenery that just keeps getting better and better. Highly recommended, but take lots of water on a hot day.
