This is the trail section of the Budu Swan Creek mountain bike race. The route was modified slightly in 2019 to exit Murphy's Law at the first left turn and then rejoin hustle & flow. This is only the trail section - a full race lap extended onto road 3 and 4, connected by a short section of the "stomach pain" trail.

Detailed Description
Budu Swan Creek Race Trail is a 3 mile moderately popular intermediate route located near Swan Creek Park Washington. This mountain bike only route. This route includes 12 trails. This route climbs 191 ft with a max elevation of 394 ft then descends -194 ft.

This is a green trail with blue features sprinkled here and there. That being said, they are all avoidable and can be ridden around. I bring my beginner partner here and she has no problem on any of the sections here.

I love hustle + flow (H+F)! Definitely a green/blue trail if you go around the whole 2.1 miles. You will find some good berms, rollers you can easily jump around off, roots, rocks, and wood features. You can avoid the harder features by simply going around the wood features which means family members of all levels can ride!

H&F is an odd trail, and (like the rest of this park) should be avoided by brand new mountain bikers:

The section between the drops on the NW side of the trail and the entrance to Feedback is an enjoyable flow trail worthy of the green rating. The inner loop can be confusing to navigate, though, and it has a climb at the beginning that a rider looking for green trails may not be able to do.
Even worse, some sections on the back half near and after the entrance to Braking Bad will make your bike airborne even if you don't want to - unless you slow down to a literal crawl - and then there's the very steep but short gulley to deal with as well.

H&F is marked as and is mostly a green trail, but mandatory sections on the back half are solidly a blue rating, which make it hard to enjoy the trail as a whole or recommend it to beginners - even though there are some genuinely good sections (the berms are excellent) through very nice forest.

I disagree as a beginner who started mtb only this year 2021. After understanding the pump track, the back half is definitely more of a blue line, but you can go fast and pump over all those rollers without catching air. I tell my elementary kids just to go slower if they aren't comfortable and they do just fine. I would call H+F a green/blue trail, but still beginner friendly. Watching youtube videos on cornering and pumping helps beginners alot. Happy trails fellow rider!

2022 edit (TL;DR my original comment was a bit too harsh):

The interior loop is a solid and fun green trail, much better than I remember it being. Still sometimes confusing to navigate. The beginning climb I took then was much harder than the actual intended route, if you stick to that it's quite easy. 4.5/5 rating.

The exterior loop I still maintain is much more difficult than the interior - in addition to the rollers I mentioned originally, there's a couple of optional features and sections that the bypasses for aren't obvious until you've almost hit them.
I would absolutely bring someone familiar with mountain biking at a novice level on this loop of the trail, but not someone *brand new* to mountain biking or who is still less confident on a bike to begin with (a green XC trail such as Banner Forest's Dr. John would be more appropriate), which was the intention of my original comment. 3/5 rating for me, though flow trail enjoyers will like it more.

As before, the berms are top notch and the forest is excellent.

I'd be in favor personally of splitting the trail into 2 parts, the more "green" interior loop and the more "blue" exterior loop.

Fun, easy, mostly flat trail with great flow, some berms, small jumps and just general good fun. It's kind of like a giant pump track. Occasional features like drop offs, boulders and skinnies are optional. Swan Creek also has drop lines, a few freeride lines, a pump track and some skinnies to have fun with.
