High Point
A favorite of Salmon riders, Butcher Knife - Ax Park offers some great high country riding. Singletrack follows the spine of the mountains dividing Montana and Idaho with huge views into both. Once the trail leaves the divide it drops "two steps down one step up" into the Hughes Creek drainage to Ax Park.
Ride this as a loop by climbing ~8 miles and ~3000' on West Fork Hughes Creek Road (088 ).
