Parcours C5 depuis Bagneres de Bigorre.
Site VTT Haute Bigorre
http://pc.r2b2.net/acbb/vtt/

Starts with a 7km (+430m) tarmac climb from Bagneres mini-golf to Rond-Point d'Esquiou (then a more gradual 4WD track climb to the start of the singletrack descent. (There is the option of doing 3/4 of the Castelmouly descent, quite technical at the start which brings you back onto to the tarmac road you have just ridden up.) You then have about 1km of single track descent through bracken on the south facing slope of "Le Monne" (watch out for ticks in spring and summer). From there you continue to (mostly) descent on a mixture of walk-trail and 4WD track towards Beaudean following the signed walk trail of the Tour du Serris (this is marked with yellow dashes). Be aware that there is sometimes a Patou (v.large Pyrenean sheepdog https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrenean_Mountain_Dog) in this area. The last bit of singletrack has a few tight switchbacks and slippery stones, don’t miss the turn off to the left onto a very narrow singletrack which climbs quite steeply for about 1km before a narrow singletrack brings you down behind the Grottes de Medous to the south of Bagneres. This come out on a road, not miss the sharp left turn to head north on a small back road. A gentle climb then takes you on to a 4WD track which brings you out near the tennis courts at the top of the Vallon de Salut at the southern end of Bagneres, there are often lots of walkers in this area an a few options to bring you back to the Bagneres mini-golf.
Generally this route consists of moderate tarmac or 4WD climbs with some fun singletrack descents.
