Trail Long Loop
The description for this trail is a bit misleading…there are long grinding, Rocky uphills, and mostly short and sketchy downhills. This trail was a test Of endurance and skill on loose rocks. Felt mostly like climbing and not so much flowing at all

Completely blown out. This trail used to be fantastic but unfortunately with the monsoons this year it is destroyed. The majority of the uphill‘s have 2 foot deep ruts right down the middle. On the down hills and flats you find a lot of soft sandy areas. It’s too bad because this was a great trail. After today I will not be riding it anymore unless it gets some serious maintenance. But it will take a lot to put this trail back together.

This is part of a 3 trail Competitive Course. It is primary purpose is for competitive XC riders training and racing and is a great course for just that. MBAA, NICA & the Cactus Cup Race on these trails. The last thing that it needs is to be reduced to lowest common denominator. It's not for the casual flow trail rider. Calling it a POS because it's not a Green Flow trail is disingenuous.

There are a LOT of great trails at Ft McDowell, but this ain't one of them. There is about a 30 foot section of "flowy" in the bottom of a creekbed. otherwise it is short steep downs, followed by steep ups, with a slightly downhill ridge ride that is covered in rocks. It would be nice and flowy, if not for all of the rocks. Skip this and go ride almost anything NORTH of the entrance road.

And if you REALLY want flowy, go ride Escondido clockwise, or head up to Granite Mountain and ride 136th St. Express, Renegade, Branding Iron, the East Side of Granite Mountain Loop, or Brown's Ranch and run Maverick, and Chuckwagon, or Pima and hit Axle Grease, Hawks Nest or West Express. With so much GOOD riding in the area, don't waste time on this POS.

Fast, flowy, and fun. Very well laid out with great signage and well maintained. You'd have a hard time getting lost here. Beautiful desert / mountain landscape. There is a large parking lot with bathrooms that have running water.

This trail has everything for a awesome XC ride, also take the small bridge as the climb shortly after is much easier that way than the alternate

Not really techy, two nice drops in the beginning and frankly the climbing shortly after is the hardest but coming down the butte after the climb is a blast. Once past the tunnel it is no different than Sport Loop

Fun poppy trail and perfect to warm up before hitting some of the other trails. The ending is the best with the multiple berms and mini jumps.

Definitely a blue trail not black; 2 good drops near the start but both have cheater trails around if needed, the rest of the trail is an easy blue

Definitely would not rate this as a black diamond, more of a blue square.

A mix of flowy single track, rocky sections, washes and rollers. Good for testing all abilities. Some plants are growing into the trail in spots so don't get stabbed.
