El Camino Viejo de Chía a Sahún es uno de los senderos más bonitos del valle de Benasque, con sus bosques de avellanos y sus mágicos rincones. Si a eso le añadimos el interesante comienzo por la ribera del Ésera obtenemos otro recorrido imprescindible marca Puro Pirineo.

La ruta parte de Sahún, se dirige a Sesué y luego a Castejón de Sos por una red de caminos paralelos al río Ésera. En Castejón hay que salir a la carretera de Benasque y tras pasar la gasolinera desviarse al pueblo de Chía por la carretera local. Antes de llegar a Chía, nos dirigimos a la ermita de la Encontrada para ir a Chía por un bello sendero. Una vez en la parte alta de la población se toma el camino agrícola hacia la Cruz de Chía. En ese punto se atraviesa la pista del puerto de Sahún y comienza el descenso hacia Sahún.

En la Cruz de Chía comienza el descenso por una trocha que conduce a la pista de Villanova atravesando el Cantal de Arnaldico. Remontaremos la pista para conectar con un sendero de ensueño que nos lleva a un cruce de cuatro caminos. Nuestra ruta desciende por sendero hacia Sahún, con tramos técnicos de piedra, hasta llegar al Barranco Surri. Desde allí sólo queda un ligero ascenso hasta llegar a Sahún.

Camino viejo Chía-Sahún is a 14 mile less popular intermediate route located near Castejón de Sos. This mountain bike primary route can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route climbs 2,020 ft with a max elevation of 4,307 ft then descends -2,016 ft.

Es fantástica, bien señalizada, con senderos para disfrutar. He tenido que bajar alguna vez de la bici porque no tengo mucha técnica pero aún así se puede realizar.
