Cool trail, way longer than I'm used to, probably need some new pads now. Lower section had a lot of torn up sections from blowdowns. Fairly mellow single track most of the time otherwise, with gnarly rock gardens towards the bottom. Fairly overgrown as of 8/18/2020 with a log across the trail at about the middle. Awesome views and a good ride, highly recommend shuttling it

This is an advance trail. It's better shuttled, but can be ridden as an out at back. It can also be ridden as a loop. Most trails in Kalispell are like this, so if you like buff smooth single track stick to Whitefish Trail, Herron Park, and Pig Farms.

Trail Beardance
Rode the trail from top to bottom. Did not enjoy it at all. Not a blue square. The last couple miles are def more like black diamond riding for sure. Very rocky, roots, brushy, with some sketchy areas that you can easily get hurt on. Won’t ride this again.

Trail is in good condition. No blow downs. Minor washouts. Very challenging riding backwards. Should be black diamond going that direction. Fun decent!

Trail Beardance
Rode this trail on 7/24/19. Parked at the trailhead by the lake and rode up and back. Trail is very rough. Tough climbing. Lots of roots and rocks. Somewhat overgrown. This is definitely not a “blue square” rated trail. It’s black diamond. In my opinion, not a fun climb. Killer downhill though. Would be great to shuttle the trail. Enduro bikes recommended. Not a fun trail for short travel or hard tail bikes.

Rode this trail yesterday, without a shuttle. Parked up the road where Phillips Trail comes out and then rode up the road 6 miles to Beardance trailhead. Rode Beardance to start of Phillips and then UP Phillips...OMG! What a sufferfest! I'll never ride Beardance again without a shuttle! Park at the Beardance trailhead and ride it all the way down...riding up Phillips is a major hike a bike!

Easy shuttle trail. This trail is a great trails for kids to learn on. There are a few up sections, but it is mostly downhill. I know many kids that learned to ride on this trail.

This trail has an awesome rock drop and the switchback is gnarly.
