This section of the Cape Cod Pathways traverses rolling hills left behind by glaciers. The close proximity to Cape Cod Community College and the wonderful scenery makes this section very popular for tourists and locals alike. A new reroute implemented in Fall 2023 traverses woodlands and the edges of soccer fields along the northern boundary of the college property.

Detailed Description
Cape Cod Pathways Old Jail Lane/Cape Cod Community College is a 2 mile popular intermediate route located near Barnstable Massachusetts. This mountain bike primary route can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 5 trails. This route climbs 117 ft with a max elevation of 118 ft then descends -118 ft.
