Feeling like taking on a burlier loop? Advanced and Expert riders will love this loop as it challenges your technical skill and your fitness. Start at the Scorpion Trailhead and take Scorpion south. Hit Pyramid at the split and rally down some steeper terrain to more technical traversing. Cross the road at the bottom and head towards Old Post. Climb Old Post, a technical and sustained climb. You'll be heading to Carroll Canyon Trail, but be careful - there are two intersections with Carroll Canyon and you want the SECOND one Take the second right on Carroll Canyon to where it joins up with Ridge. Climb to the high point and then point your bike downhill for a wide open DH that leads to a spicy waterfall. At the road, hang a left and take it about .25 miles down to Secret Slick Rock Trail for another fun DH. Play on the Slick Rock for a minute before looking for the big cairn that marks the continuation of Ridge (You'll be heading to the left towards the exposed southern side of the formation). Continue on off-camber rock rolls to some rowdy DH to the Road. turn right and head to Chavez Ranch Rd. Turn Left and take Old Post Trail up one more time towards Skywalker. Return to the Trailhead via Skywalker.
