Ride the Carson City Off-Road. Choose from three different distance options of 15, 35 or 50 miles; each consisting of a carefully curated set of spectacular trails.

All participants will climb their way into the Eastern Sierra Nevada, take in huge views of Lake Tahoe, Washoe Valley and the Carson Valley while connecting some of the area’s favorite (and challenging) pieces of singletrack, double track, gravel roads and the occasional paved segment.

During your three-day event visit to Carson City enjoy being submerged in the mountain bike industry. Mingle with the most bike-minded people you’ll ever encounter while appreciating the area’s silver mining heritage and feeling welcomed by its modern day appreciation for the outdoor enthusiast.

With an award in the form of an engraved railroad finisher spike, top-notch free live music, a cold beverage from Four Peaks Brewing Co. (gratis) and the comfort of the capitol city’s sprawling shaded lawns waiting at the finish for all Off-Road participants…this is one finish line worth preparing and persevering for.

The Carson City Off-Road has a 98% finish rate. Bring your climbing legs and you’ll do just fine.

Rim trail from Tunnel Creek road toward Marlette peak still has quite a bit of snow on it. I made it to about 8200' befoer I hit snow patches, went a bit higher before it just wasn't worth all the hiking.

Rode the entire course yesterday. Probably had to cross ~50 snow patches of varying sizes on the TRT. It is passable, but plan on adding an extra 30 min and make sure to go straight over the snow rather than widening the trail.

I rode the course yesterday, there are about 9 or 10 drifts on the TRT approaching Marlette Peak. Most of them are small and will probably be melted by race day. There is also one small downed tree over the trail. The three drifts at the top are much bigger and probably won't be melted. I'd expect a couple short hike-a-bikes but nothing too bad.

look out for a newish connector trail at the bottom to link you into the red house flume trail. This way avoids the road link and having to cross the sketchy dam at the pump station.
