Cat 2 Big Bear Course is a 18 mile popular expert route located near Big Bear California. This mountain bike only route can be used one direction and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 8 trails. This route climbs 1,793 ft with a max elevation of 8,006 ft then descends -2,444 ft.

Trail Upper Fern
I didn't consult the map, but this isn't anything close to Miracle Mile in difficulty. I think it's easier than Falline trail. There are a few rocks, but nothing steep and they are easy to walk around. I rode this with my daughter who struggled down Turtle trail.

It is a good trail to climb too...I agree on it being a blue trail and an easier one at that. Like most of the trails in the area it is long so people need to remember to take breaks and enjoy themselves.

Trail Plantation
It's not worth the effort to go down. Nothing to fancy about the trail. You can pick up some good speed but it's done before you know it. Keep riding and check out forest dream to bobcat. And finish off with cabin 89. It's a better route.
