The race starts at Local Jonnys in Cave Creek on November 14th. We will line you up on Hidden Valley Drive before the start. The race will start turning left on Cave Creek Road West to Spur Cross Road. Turn right and follow Spur Cross Road North to Spur Cross Preserve. Gate fee of 3 dollars. Enter the park and take the first left before the big sign. Follow spur cross trail West and South out of the preserve to the first of 3 bike cattle guard rollovers (BCGR). You will be on the Maricopa Trail. Follow the trail until you get to the second BCGR Turn right West along the barb wire fence to a paved road. Turn Left South on the paved road look to the right for the Maricopa trail sign. Turn right, West, and go through the fence over a wide vehicle cattle guard. Stay on the Maricopa trail and follow it over the last BCGR. follow the MT South, at the 1rst split take the left fork south it will continue downhill and cross an old blown-out trail section, stay on the newish single track until it dumps you back onto the old trail. continue South until the first left turn East Stay on this trail until you are back on pavement. Follow the pavement East and look on the right side for the MT sign. turn right, and immediately left and follow the trail East to a sharp right downhill on an old jeep road and then a sharp left near the bottom of the hill. back onto singletrack. Follow the single track and MT signs to the backside of CC Park. Once in the park bear right and head uphill on GoJohn to Overton Trail. turn right onto Overton. Follow Overton to the exit across Tonalite road stay on right side of The road, follow to Slate trail. Stay on Slate and turn left on Jasper up to GoJohn, turn right again and follow GoJohn to Quartz Trail, turn right onto Quartz and follow to Slate. Turn left on Slate and follow all the way to Cave Creek Wash. Cross the wash and follow the trail to a short steep uphill, stay on this town of Cave Cree Trail until the big swing gate, make a sharp right turn once through the gate and follow the trail Wst and then South, you will cross Cloud Road (paved and sometimes busy), stay on this rather wide trail for about 1/2 mile. after you head down a steep short downhill and crossing the wash take the left fork. follow this Town of Cave Creek Trail. (You will cross 5 paved roads on the way back to Jonnys, be careful there is limited visibility for you and the cars). You will end up paralleling Cave Creek Road and up a steep uphhill we call condo grind. At the top make a sharp right and follow the trail to Surrey, first paved road. Turn right and carefully cross Cave Creek Road, (the busy main road through town) from there head North in the bike lane on Cave Creek Road back to Jonnys for some cool refreshments.

Detailed Description
Cave Creek Cactus Classic 2020 is a 23 mile expert race route located near Cave Creek Arizona. This mountain bike primary route can be used one direction and has a hard overall physical rating. This route includes 2 trails. This route climbs 1,596 ft with a max elevation of 2,761 ft then descends -1,613 ft.

Thank you for uploading this to TF and sorry you couldn’t run the race this year. Just rode this today, I’m smoked! My Strava said 2100’ climbing. Some fun chunk. Did the c-4 reroute option. Last few miles back to parking lot killed me haha
