Fast with drops, berms, chunk, a few loamy corners, and some fun natural doubles. The climb up the road isn’t horrible but the shorter trail at the top took longer then the entire road ‍♂️ So so steep. Watch for moto traffic too.

Wish there was more elevation gain. Too flat.

Trail Trail 401
Must not miss when flowers are in bloom! Great conditions, wildflowers in full bloom 7/24. Climbing is doable, portions are quite steep though not very technical. The downhill really can't be beat in terms of views. Mostly off-camber and slightly loose trail surface with flowers crowding bars - full finger gloves suggested especially if you're ripping it. Braking bumps are pretty significant and prolonged making turns a little sketchy at speed, though usually you'll just fall into a bed of flowers. The trail isn't that much technical fun until you get into the forest where there are more switchbacks, roots and drops but you won't find much in the way opportunities to leave the ground. This is more of a scenic trail than anything but it's definitely worth the experience and the effort and has enough technical fun at the bottom to keep most people happy.

Such an awesome fun ride. I ride this with the 401 every summer, each has pros and few cons. Techie with a few drops, awesome views and the wildflowers are brilliant.

Amazing Views!!! Challenging uphills that are rewarded with sweet downhills through meadows and aspen forests. Rivals 401.

Trail Deer Creek
This trail is a little out of the way. It's got some beautiful views and the singletrack is nice. Very up and down with a lot of alpine riding. Amazing XC riding for sure. Could be fun riding either way - I like it the best west to east despite it being more climbing. The steep 4×4 road climb to enter east to west is rough.

Love this trail. Rocky, rooty fun. Challenging climb up and one hell of a descent back. Can also loop it with Double Top to Block and Tackle. Much more exciting than 401 or Doctor Park, IMO

Great trail as part of the Teocalli loop. The climb is a bitch, but the sport is called _mountain_ biking.

Trail Trail 401
Amazing views. Trail itself is just decent and badly needs some love especially up top. This trail is sadly did not meet the hype and the break and moto bumps which usually makes trails more fun for me just kinda killed the cat on this one. It's meant to be smooth flow not bumps. Needs some love badly. Potential is there.

This climb is brutal, I got back to sea level and ran a 5:45 mile. I was pushing my bike more on this climb than I have since my first year riding

The downhill is awesome though, and the scenery is brutal. Just be ready for a serious uphill effort

Great trail. Great views. Fun and flowy with narrow singletrack requiring your attention at all times. Must do.

Easy fire road pedal, tough 1.3 miles to the ridge, and then another mile or so to the top of the DH..top is super fast and rocky, a few small drops, and the. It turns into fast and somewhat chunky single track. Ends with bermed switch backs, and fast meadow rip. Likely my favorite rip in CB

Over-rated. Lots of effort for an overall ok ride, especially if you are riding in from the housing development. Quality of ascent: 1 star, views: 5 stars, downhill: 3 stars. There is a total of about 1 mile of really good descent mixed with lots of motorcycle ruts/damage, especially at the turns. if you only have a few days save your energy for better trails.

Steep and at altitude makes it tough to pedal, but it's smooth, so definitely rideable.

It's a grind. Beautiful, but the climb is brutal, especially if you're not used to the elevation. Read my write up about it at twowheeledwanderer.com/posts/teocalli-ridge-not-all-its-hyped-up-to-be

Trail Trail 401
I would describe this trail as beautiful and scenic but for me the quality of riding was not my favorite. Too much sidehill for my liking and very overgrown with hardly any line of site. This by far was the most scenic trail I have done but I prefer the riding of Dr. Park and Teocalli Ridge over this ride, those trails had more variety and the riding just more playful and fun. The 2nd climb and last bit of downhill on the 401 was my favorite riding part. I still think this trail is worth riding to check it out, maybe you will be a huge fan, the views are amazing and climb up is pleasant and beautiful. As of 7/20/19 this trail goes, there is a snow patch you have to walk across before emerald lake on the road but its easy and then a bit of snow through the single track in the woods but all easily doable.

We absolutely love the 401 trail, be cautious as you head down through the tall grasses. We came across a lot of wildlife and babies during the early summer.

Ride aware, save a (wild)life!

This is a super fun downhill with a little tech here and there, good flow, couple hills, and then lots of tight turns in the trees. I would shuttle this and not do all the climbs if you can find anyone that would with a 4wd. Not sure if I’d ride it again otherwise.

This is where you get mad because you are tired of climbing and don’t want to do it anymore. It’s steep in parts. Just grueling after doing the 7....road. Not my favorite

Brutal climb if you’re from sea level but well well worth it for the high alpine views and long descent
