Real good trail, with some line choices, good skinny single track. Used to be downhill only, but not anymore, they need to remove the downhill only signs

Wow, I did not expect this to be so unique in the area. Bushwhack and chunk throughout great speed and steep berms. Very rough and somewhat dangerous compared to vertigo. At the same time, there are much fewer brake bumps on this compared to vertigo, which is great for my hard tail. Five stars easy, I can’t imagine what people are whining about here.

I see videos of kids and families on this trail as experienced bikers are screaming past everyone. Are there clearly marked jumps on like a side loop or something? I can't imagine the kids going over them, especially as someone comes hauling butt from behind. So how do the jumps work if someone isn't wanting to use them?

Absolutely not worth it. The trail is very overgrown not only with grass and shrubs, but also thistles encroaching both sides of the trail all the way down. It is a neglected trail seldom ridden due to the fact that some of the Best downhill trails in the area, levitate and vertigo, are only a quarter mile further down the trail. Even if the Draper parks serviced it, it would still not compare to levitate or vertigo, But it would be rideable. 1/5

The uphil climb was annoying, most of the jumps you don’t have enough of speed for, and all the rocks just make the trail so choppy, which is very unpleasant at high speeds. All berms were mostly covered with weeds and tall grass, the entire way down I was wishing it was over, don’t ever go on this trail unless the completely redo it, do levitate or vertigo instead.

Entire thing is completely redone, and some how they managed to keep every single bump there, before it was smooth but destroyed, and now it’s renewed and rough. I don’t know what the trail builders were thinking, they have put jumps in places that don’t make sense, half of the jumps don’t work and most don’t even have good lips, even though it was recently built. I decided to go again, on a full suspension, but surprisingly I still felt every bump the same. The amount of things that just didn’t work on the trail surprised me, and I truly like the way the trail was before the redo.

The majority of the berms are overgrown up high so you are forced to ride down lower. That said, in my opinion Levitate and Vertigo are much better trails but this trail is still a good option if you’re looking to mix it up a bit.

The lower section of this trail has been redone, with amazing new jumps, it has way more flow than the rest of rush, there is also a ten foot optional gap jump at the end for more advanced riders, would recommend!!!!! There is no ruts or brake bumps or anything

This trail is very underrated. Yes, any tabletops are now rounded out, so if you’re looking for air, go next door. But if you want to go fast and get sideways, zooropa is a load of fun. A little chunky, and the high parts of the berms need to be ridden. A great challenge for an experienced rider, but easily accessible for noobs. Very few brake bumps compared to its neighbors probably because it gets less traffic.

As of late summer 2020 there are three distinct forks in the trail that take you to optional jump lines. Very straightforward tabletops with simple speeds. Probably one of the best jump lines for a newer rider to learn on.

I rode this trail for the first time maybe a month ago, and for me, it's been one of the best parts of 2020! If you love berms this is definitely going to be your jam! I see a lot of complaints about the first tabletop, but I always kinda figured that it marked the end of the climb, and gives you a spot to ride up, stop, then launch when you're ready (any climb makes me tired!). It reminds me of those spots in a skate park that the kids congregate on waiting their turn to session something. If they hadn't put in the jump lines on Vertigo, I would say this is the better of the two trails, but since the jump lines exist I think they both pretty equal, just different styles. So in short, Bermalicious!

Over $15k and 400 private volunteer hours (less than 20 volunteers from the Salt Lake Valley Trail Society due to COVID-19) went into a recent rebuild of Levitate. Levitate 2.0 has received rave reviews. It is safer but yes bigger and faster. Thought most features can be rolled, they should not be. Under skilled riders and slower traffic do exponentially more damage to the trail than appropriately skilled riders. Example- brake bumps. This trail can now be cleaned top to bottom with less than five pedal strokes and less than five brake checks pretty easily. It's by far the most fun it's ever been. If you feel you're not ready for full speed Levitate, don't fret. The same group is in the process of adding more progressive beginner and intermediate optional jump lines to Vertigo. Go enjoy those and once you're done dominating them come back to Levitate. You'll be ready to begin dominating this trail by then!

Very fun trail both ways. Kind of a wavy, undulating style that is a nice change of pace from the more traditional style in corner canyon. At SW and, can pop out on Sun Crest Dr and access Maple hollow trail above the neighborhood of the same name, from there climb back up to Eagle Crest.

An intermediate trail that will be most appreciated by advanced riders. It really rewards those who are willing to get up high on the berms (even though the berms are rough up high) and those who are willing to speed into the tables (even though the landings are a bit blind).

To what was once an amazing multi-use trail, it has turned into a mess of ruts, sandy landings across most of the jumps, and deterioration of the overall flow of the trail.

As of July 22, 2019, the trail needs serious work and would not recommend anyone at the moment with a lack of skill to take this trail at high speed. At opening it was fantastic and a well deserved extension to Rush Trail.

Levitate is not a blue.
Random softball sized rocks on landings and single track line elevate the difficulty. Tidal wave is a blue due to width and the daily maintenance of the trail. The speeds are much faster on tidal wave as well and yet it is much easier than Levitate. Levitate is definitely a black trail.
Just because you can send this trail with ease doesn’t mean it is a blue. You are simply and advanced rider. Congrats.

Reminds me of the old wooden roller coasters, rough but still fast and fun! The roughness will test your legs a bit but it is fast with lots of fast berms and plenty of tabletop jumps. The climb is nothing, it’s funny that people complain about it. Go ride this Trail!

The trail was, admittedly, opened somewhat prematurely in 2018. After a winter of moisture and packing and after some finishing touches this spring it is a vastly different trail. Like many of the corner canyon trails, wind speed can have a dramatic effect on ride speed. The short easy climb from the saddle (less than 1 minute) opened up an area of the hillside that was otherwise inaccessible. Try it again for the first time!

Recent improvements (as of November 201Cool added better lips for better hang time. Trail is rated as a black because of speed, extremely dry and pebbly conditions, and sketchy landings when dry. Don't let the trail fool you into it being simple and easy. Over the course of 2018 I personally saw 6 life flights from this trail or it's neighbors (Vertigo and Zooropa).

It isn’t very loose now but the design problems remain. The first tabletop is pretty hilarious to roll at 2 mph. Most of the berms have been eroded flat so not much speed can be carried. Might be a fun trail with some reroutes and a new design for the top half.

I just rode this today and something must have changed since the complaints earlier in the summer because it was great. Maybe the recent rain helped settle it or it just needed some time to get ridden more. I agree about the speed problem going into the first table top but aside from that I thought it was near perfect. Thank you everyone that worked on these new trails.

Gravity Logic, I have seen your work at Whistler, Deer Valley and even next door to this trail. I would say the same thing here that my teachers used to say to me in HS. You are capable of better work than this. Everything that has been said is true... the burmshave promise but are unfinished, rocks are ok but baseball size loose gravel is just sloppy. And finally until you post a video showing how one is capable of carrying enough speed into the first table top post climb I second the notion that it was just poorly thought out. I don’t mind that there is climbing but it should be thought out when you are proffesional trail designers working with a blank slate. I rode it opening week three times in a row and again two weeks ago. It feels the same to me. One plus is that its easily the least interesting downhill on that side of the mountain so it wont be busy.

Where’s the speed? Starts out with great potential with some big berms, then WTF I have to pedal uphill? Ok not that big of deal but then it goes into some table tops and berms that you don’t even have enough speed built up to jump?

Some potential is there but overall it feels like a failed attempt.

This trail feels like it'd be a blast once I gain a little more confidence. Today, I found myself reflexively slowing down too much as I approached the large berms, which required me to skid down the loose sand on the inside.

+1 to following the management's "blue square" rating. This trail is now marked this way on the sign at the top.

Oddly, the South Maple Hollow trail, which I rode up to get to this one, is marked blue on this site, but I don't see any reason it shouldn't be green.

I agree, the only reason it is staying black, is because of the brake bumps before, after and in the berms. Many of the jumps have loose rocks rolling around on the landings. If they go in a buff it out just a bit, I think it could go back to intermediate (blue). But because of the looseness of the trail I have seen 2 life flights and would prefer to err on the side of caution. The trail is also marked as expert by the City of Draper, and relative to trails in Corner Canyon, this is closer to expert than intermediate.

I thought I agreed on green for this until I took two beginners on it. They do fine on Ann's trail but struggeled on vertigo. Apparently if you don't have the comfort to ride the berms with speed they are a bit more of a hazard than I expected. If you stay high on them at low speed you slide out. If you stay low then you are riding in loose sand/gravel. We had three fall downs taking it at a slow pace they felt comfortable with. The same day I saw one other adult rider go down on the top section. Perhaps this is overlooked as a difficulty factor to new riders looking for green options. That said I still think it feels like a green at moderate speeds.

I added a disclaimer warning about this. The problem with ratings is, people that the type of rider that shuttles does a lot of downhill and this is easy. The type of rider that climbs to each run rides less downhill. This is a totally generality, but the difference is just enough to get one crowd to want to rate trails easier and the other more difficult. To be a relative rating (relative to Little Valley next door) this should probably intermediate, especially now that shuttle riders will almost exclusively ride Levitate.

Good points Todd. What do you think about leaving the rating consistent with what the managing entity rates it? Certainly there will be trails with no such declaration. But in the event that a very proactive group like Draper Open Spaces, or Solitude ski resort(for examples) declare a trail to be a certain difficulty I don't see the harm in Trailforks following that guidance. If an advanced rider tries a trail expecting black but gets blue there is no real problem. But if a beginner is looking for green and finds blue that could be an issue.

I totally agree with that. Although that has not stopped a few "advanced" riders from complaining that marking something expert was a waste of their time. But I agree, it is a safer to err on the side of caution.

This trail was awesome. If you have some speed, you'll clear the table tops and it seems like there are about 15 or more of them. It is a little soft right now, so beware of that. Also, it crosses the Vertigo trail so just beware of that and make sure you're not going to slam in to any one as you cross.

This is a Blue trail at best, it is kind of fun. I wish the jumps where bigger, if you carry any speed at all you'll be hucking it to flat.

Really fun trail with a ton of jumps few berms and few drops. Not too rocky. Just new trail loose.

You're right, generally speaking it should be a green. Relative to the trails in Corner Canyon, I think it is borderline. Only from the standpoint of airing out full speed. Anyone else care to chime in on what difficulty you think this should be?

My vote would be green, since a beginner rider would just ride it slower and have absolutely no problem

Just rode the new trail today! It was SPECTACULAR! The berms were huge and the jumps were great. It was extremely loose however (as to be expected). The climb at the end of the trail leading back to was quick and mellow and I was tempted to run Vertigo again. Overall, a great trail, if Rush could get makeover like this it would be incredible.

Ha ha. So actually yes, its intermediate. It was imported from skidmap, which used red (Double Diamond) to indicate "DH Only". Not a direct mapping of difficulties. There are some other trails like that out there, I am cleaning them up. Thanks

Double black diamond for Rush? Someone was on crack when rating this. It's a blue. Intermediate trail.
