Linking a few of the popular upper loops on Mt CDA usually ridden in a clockwise direction, avoiding some of the climbing up 257 or via the long paved road.

Parking is at the top of the paved road (FSR 453), turn right on the dirt road #439 and go just a hundred feet or so to the cleared parking area.

Ride starts by heading down 257, then climbs mostly up double track 453 and 439 with a couple short ridable uphill sections of 227 single track. Generally the climb navigates clockwise around Mt CDA to the start of Caribou Ridge trail for some (finally) downhill fun. Once at the intersection with 257, climb that single track up to the start at 439 and you are back to the cooler for some ice cold drinks.

Not too bad of a climbing trail. Steepish in good places, but most of it is rideable by a strong rider. I pushed in a couple of spots to save my legs. Also good going down.

really nice downhill trail. Not too technical. A bit overgrown and needs lots more action. Climb back out on Southside access road is awful for first 1.5 miles. Blowdowns and overgrowth make for crawling and climbing under/over trees for an hour or more. Recommend this as an out and back instead.

It went from "Caribou" to "Careful boo"! Real quick! But the first 20 min of decent on this trail is a masterpiece in design. The ultimate flow trail of the INW and by far the my favorite trail.

This is one of my favorite sections of trail in this area. A little tighter in places than 257, but like 257, the sequence of corners makes for just plain fun riding. It has been in good shape all season.
