Fun butter smooth flow track. Should probably be rated green?

I used to really enjoy this trail, I’ve ridden it a lot over the last couple years and it was one of my favorite quick loop rides. After the recent revision it lost any and all technical elements and feels like a groomed pump track….sad…..

Thank you to the trail workers who took a great trail and dialed it to 11! Did 3 loops today and every time I hit the bottom of the trail, groups of riders were smiling and laughing about how much fun the revisions are. Great job and many thanks!

If crossing river, I'd go to the furthest right you can. Not gonna lie, it's very slippery and a bit nerve racking to cross. Crossed it this past weekend. On the right side the rock has a slight upslope you can push against the current very slightly. Probably easier if you keep your shoes on but I'm not a fan of biking with 10lbs 5 10s for the rest of the day

Try this next time: take off your shoes and walk across in your socks...the socks really do a good job of sticking to the rocks. I always bring another pair of socks and change them out after crossing. Just squeeze out the wet pair and stick them in your pack.

Idk why this doesn't get more love, but it's a phenomenal downhill run littered with natural jumps and drops with tight, yet fast action. Get on it!

LOVED this trail !!! (clockwise)
This may be my all-time favorite trail! Can be ridden very fast even the 1st time. Full of natural features like small natural drops and small natural "jumps". If you're going fast, there's a ton of split second "Send or Steer-around" decisions. I only chickened-our of one rocky drop.

Hit Ridgeline yesterday, coming down from Hickory Mountain Loop. Seemed much faster than it was the last time I rode it (maybe 4-5 years ago). I have to rate it as the best ~2 mile downhill rip I've ever been on... which includes all the super flowy stuff at Kerr Scott Lake.

This trail if ridden CCW is a blast to climb. It's tech, smooth and doable. Also if it's a little wet out the rock stays grippy! The downhill is fun and the top is super cool.

This is one of my favorite trails. From the natural and rugged beauty to the rock drops (most with ride-arounds) to a few rocks you can jump/double into step-downs. Enjoy!

Interesting range of comments on this trail. Here is my take. It is not techy or marked a black Diamond. It has some natural contours you can boost but it it not a jump trail. What it is is a great flow trail that you can rail down at Mach 10 and have a lot of fun doing it. If that is what your expecting I think you won’t be disappointed. I would match it with Hickory Mth Loop running it counterclockwise and it makes for a nice long Blue rated trail descent. Hickory is more technical but you can still just pin your ears back from the top of it and fly down from there to the parking lot and have a nice smile on your face the rest of the day

Agree with NERyder's assessment. No gnar but it's advertised that way and if you want that, plenty of other options all around here. But if you think you'd like 1.6 miles of Super-G style buff ripping, one of my faves (I said at the end, that was as fun as 401 in CB).

I rode this counter clockwise and loved it. Bit of a steep techy climb counter clockwise followed by a mixed terrain descent. Lots of rocks you can boost off at speed. Lots of small rock and root drops in succession. I thought it was really great. Couple of sandy corners but otherwise it was a nice chunky blue rated descent that you could really pin your ears back and charge down.

I rode this counter clockwise as suggested by the Best of Dupont 2019 route and it was not worth the climb up. The trail started out awesome for the first few turns then it just petered off and got flat and boring. Maybe clockwise is the better way?

Super fun fast flow trail. Anybody from a complete beginner, all the way to a seasoned pro would have an amazing time on Ridgeline. There were some braking bumps when I rode it, but definitely nothing bad in comparison to bike park trails. Something else to look out for is some wildlife, as when I was riding on my first lap down, a black bear ran across the trail about 15 feet in front of me. I’m not sure how common this is, but it’s definitely something to look out for.

Top half or so of this trail is fantastic, simi-technical. The bottom half is a washed out (mostly) fire road. Totally agree is should be split into segments (at least two, maybe three). I absolutely love the top half ... and avoid the bottom half like the plague (its not even good for gravel grinding really since its effectively a one way out and back on a gravel bike).

Trail Ridgeline
Honestly a pretty lame trail, nothing difficult or necessarily fun. The peddle up is super easy, and the decent can be done by just about anyone. However, it is well maintained, and i do recommend it to anyone trying to learn how to ride their first downhill single track.

Trail Ridgeline
Defiantly an over hyped trail, with no challenges whatsoever, obviously what do you expect, it's the east coast

Trail Joanna Road
Yeah, it might be better if this was split into two or three sections because the descent from Pinnacle Mtn Rd down to Grassy Meadow Trail is kind of technical and fun, with rocky bits and drops. Some other sections are more like gravel road double-track.

Trail Ridgeline
during the recent trail maintenance performed by the forest service they removed the one and only TTF from Ridgeline. I'll miss my favorite part of the trail, the ridable log near the bottom.

Trail Shoals Trail
Short but fun downhill with a couple switchbacks. If I remember right, there were also a couple drops (I would guess no more than a foot high).

Just rode this south to north and loved the downhill. Nice and flowy with a lot of spots you can pump for more speed - worth the climb

Just rode this trail yesterday. I don't think many bikers take this trail, but I could be wrong. It's covered in very loose stones that roll easily under your tires in the steeper sections. Once you make it to the top, it does have a nice view of forested mountains from a small rocky cliff, but I could only see a couple tiny spots of Little River. I could hear rushing water but couldn't see any falls. It's OK for a workout, but don't expect an awesome falls view once you reach the top.

Trail Joanna Road
A nice rocky trail from Pinnacle mountain road to about Grassy Creek, then an up and down semi-road.

Trail Ridgeline
This trail was recently overhauled from a bit on the technical side to very fast with berms and nice banks. Sad to see the old trail go but the new one is hella-fun.
