Potential is huge. Shutteling and people taking 4x4s up to the top is destroying the trail and the surroundings. Not to mention making the trail break bumps and rutted out areas very frequent and noticeable. Not the same trail I remember - needs some serious work but despite the conditions it remains a superb ride and a not so bad 20 mile look with about 3k of climbing. Also every time I ride this there are riders walking down sections that are black in difficulty. It is not a trail for intermediate riders to practice on which seems to be what is happening. Especially the last 2 miles of the trail.

The pedal up to the river crossing would be a bear, but pedaling up from there is not that bad. I can't believe that people have anything bad to say about this ride. There isn't anything too steep going up or down. Fully rideable and SO FLOWY. The descent is one of the best around. I've ridden for 15+ years and I think that this trail is simply AMAZING.

Not worth the climb IMHO. There are some really great flowy sections, but nowhere near enough to justify 12 miles of climbing (not to mention that most steep/tight areas are rutted). If I’m going to do a climb like that I’d personally rather just do 401.

Don’t listen to all the naysayers. Do they even ride bikes? This is a great ride. It’s a long grind to get up there but it’s worth it every time. Great scenery, great riding.

It’s hard to justify the 2600+ feet climb for that trail. Divided into 3 clear sections: First is sadly chunky, yes it’s technical but no really fun. Second is fun, but way too fast, you’re on smooth singletrack through the Aspen (they could have done so much more, slow things down, add features, ...). Third, by far my favorite, you’re out on some dusty stuff and rocks, it gets steeper and fun!

My favorite ride in CB! This trail is amazing. Just pedal the damn trail it’s not worth the shuttle imo. You will build the legs & lungs to pedal up all the other rides you need to do in CO.

The switchbacks are rowdy and rad, not destroyed at all.

Horrible long steep loose rocky climb to a bunch of switchbacks destroyed by motos. Climb definitely not worth the ragged descent.

Short but grunty climb to Bear Creek downhill. Much steeper in spots than Reno.

A great mix of super high speed flow sections with good sight lines to support your speed, punctuated with chunky sections. The whole thing is sort of bookended with some fun rocky tech. If you are smiling on this one, you're dead inside.

I'm a huge fan of this ride. Compared to 401, Teocalli Ridge I feel this trail has the best quality of riding. Top part is super fast with some chunk flow, then it gets steep littered with rocks, its controlled chaos as you can haul. Then it has an amazing flow section with water bars to get air off of that never seems to end and then it finishes with loose technical rock gardens and fun hairpins. I posted a vid in the video section for you to check out. It's a grind to the top, but the grade never gets too crazy steep. Lots of people seem to shuttle this ride to the river crossing and bike up from there. The Bonus loop at the top was not worth it, it was basically hard pack that had dried with horse/cow prints through it and it felt horrible. Condition were great as of 7/20/19, not too many braking bumps and no snow, just bits of mud here and there.
