Rode most of this October 2021; sadly, would not recommend. The trails in the northern half especially, are completely mauled by ATVs. Riding for hours on waves 4" high spaced 1'-4' apart kills you, and is super slow.
The Eastern Ontario Trail Alliance has signs up at every road crossing stating that these "multi-use" trails are maintained by them, but in addition to not fixing the washboard surface, they also seem to not care about streams cutting across or down the trails, or ponds submerging 40m of the trail, making it essentially closed to pedestrians and questionable for anyone not in an ATV.

Rode this trail (at least a lot of it) but cut it short on the south end and did the Trans Canada trail rather than going all the way down to the lake. Blog post: ridecyclespin.com/2017/09/18/bikepacking-the-central-ontario-loop-trail
