It starts at the entrance to North Cheyenne Cañon Park and climbs up Chamberlain and the Ladders. Take Gold Camp and turn left down Spring Creek. Take a right onto Columbine and following it until you come to the upper Gold Camp parking lot. From there, take the closed Gold Camp and turn right onto Buckhorn. Once at the top, take a rest, and continue down Capt Jacks, cross over High Drive, and enjoy the fun downhill of Jacks. Keep a sharp eye for the obscure left turn for Morgans. Be prepared for some jumps, steep terrain, rock gardens, and tight switchbacks. Eventually, it will dump you back onto Gold Camp. Turn left on the road until you get to the Chutes trail. Turn down Chutes and enjoy the swooping turns, ramps, and jumps. At the bottom, take a right back onto Chamberlain until you return to the starting point.

Trail The Chutes
One of my favorite downhills on the front range. Totally a blue - this doesn't qualify as a black by any stretch of my imagination.

Trail The Chutes
Great, fun downhill only trail. Definitely a blue not a black- everything is easily rolled and rocks are minimal.

6" of kitty litter blown out by dirt bikes, too sketchy to be enjoyable

Trail Chamberlain
Mostly gradual blue with a few optional rocks and mild to moderate steepness...built surprisingly well for downhill flow but lots of hikers. Great Trail to connect to ladders get up to the Chutes.

This is really more of a Blue Black due to the occasional and usually optional black sections and steepness and ridiculous looseness. There are a lot of fun parts of this Trail but I'm not sure I'll ever ride it again.. someone needs to take a freaking broom to this Trail!! It's not just lose, it's like kitty litter gravel for half the trail and it makes going fast almost essential which can be fun but is often too sketchy to be enjoyable. I guess for some reason people should be careful of the very last stretch at the bottom... It's not steep at all but there is a loose wash out section that is made me crash in the same damn spot the two times I've tried this Trail I only realized it when I was done with it... this Trail is best enjoyed after moisture.

Currently extremely loose and dangerous as of November 2020. I would not recommend anyone ride this with current conditions. Feels like riding down a gravel pile with giant rocks you have to dodge.

super steep. insanely loose. basically surfing downhill through inches of powder with your brakes locked up a good portion of the time. some fun decent sized drops.

Had a blast on this trail! It has everything, it just ends too quickly, but I love it. If you can't handle gnar, don't go!

Totally rideable if you can handle some gnarly DH chunder. Rode it with a guy with a hardtail, he had a bad time. I was on my 170mm enduro bike and I had a blast. Rotors were sizzling at the bottom.

Its only an erosion nightmare if you can't ride steep and loose terrain. Has some cool features like a rock face and chest high drop.

Has potential, but most of the route is an erosion nightmare. Would require extensive modification to become sustainable.

Angry trolls even here. Sad. I didn't say anything about ability, I said it's an erosion nightmare. Have you done any trail maintenance, construction?

I’m not a troll, just someone that disagrees with your assessment. I’ve been working on and riding the trails around here for close to 38 years and I’m also an engineer. Some of the erosion makes things interesting. If you don’t like interesting then I suggest the Greenway Trail. Fyi, The trail will be sanitized soon so that people like you can ride it. The master plan for the canyon will split this trail into two mellow simple flow trails. Have fun.

Rode yesterday. Poor/loose trail conditions due to excessive motorcycle use compared to just 6 months ago. Great MTB trail/flow when in good condition, but not now. Used to be one of my favorite trails in the Springs.
