Is a bit shaky at the top. Don't think it should be a Green Rating. That said, was a lot of fun.

Don't expect a mountain bike trail because it's not one. It's basically the fastest way down the mountain with all flat corners which is fun on one hand, but on the other it's disappointing after such a long pedal up.

Guessing the only reason this trail is rated black diamond is because the first half includes some very steep and loose sections, though there's nothing technical at all beyond that. It's like they skipped some switchbacks and built it straight down the ridge. Bottom half is fun flow. Spectacular views throughout.

Brutally steep unrelenting climb. Steep and loose first half dh, then super fun and flowing. Lots of potential for someone to build great trails in the area. Top half of dh needs switchbacks.

Steep, but once I figured I could switchback up the road it went ok, but still a lot of work.

Beautiful views, however this intermediate rider spent the top half survival-riding, inching my way down the steep trail. Walked a few places. Never fell, but I wouldn't ride it for the riding, but for the views and experience. The bottom half was more mellow and fun. My ascent was from the bottom parking lot, up the trail until the hiking trail turned off to the left, then I continued to the right (West) until I joined the road. The road was quite steep itself, but once I figured that I could switchback up the road I did better.

i had never been here before and was going to ride up from the east side (i hadn’t look at trailforks ahead of time). glad i ran into a friendly local guy in the parking lot who advised that i ride up from lakeside. yeah, it was way easy that way..NOT! was still pretty brutal for me but got the job done. the downhill definitely had some breathtaking views but otherwise kind of lackluster, basic xc.

Absolutely phenomenal views, worth every bit of effort to climb or shuttle up!

The trail itself is a ridge top / barrow bench cut trail that varies between well maintained to rutted but rideable water damaged trail.

Don’t question it, just go ride it. Shuttle road is somewhat steep in places but easy for most Subaru / SUV’s

Trail is riding well after our fall rains but some snow at the very top of the access road and trail.

Really sketchy on top, not a cross country ride by any means. Gorgeous views.
