Great Whiskeytown loop.
Head up the Whiskeytown Shasta Trinity NRA road.
When you hit the upper parking lot with the restroom continue uphill on the Brandy Creek Falls Trail.
a ways up you will start heading slightly downhill and there is a trail that will go uphill on your left.
Follow that up onto Chimney.
Follow the trail until you end back up on the Shasta Whiskeytown Trinity NRA road, then go left. Ride up the road a bit, you will pass the road that goes left up to Shasta Bally. About 100 yards past that road on your left Middle Icebox will start. follow that down, eventually you will come back up on the road, follow the road down. Then the next turn out go left and down the Lower Ice Box. Follow this all the way to the bottom parking lot.

Detailed Description
Chimney to Ice Box loop is a 9 mile moderately popular intermediate route located near Redding California. This mountain bike only route can be used one direction and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 6 trails. This route climbs 1,859 ft with a max elevation of 2,619 ft then descends -1,858 ft.
