Great trail, especially when linked to Church Rocks. Great views and fun trail. Honestly though, a Black Diamond rating? In this area of Utah I would call this a BLUE Diamond. Yes, there are a few spots of "Black Diamond" but these can be easily walked if you can't ride those spots.

I agree this is ridden best East to West however I rode it as a loop form West to East over to Church Rocks then back East to West. After doing that, for my fitness/skill level I’d do it that way again.

Honestly who even rides this trail west to east? So what if you have an ebike, dude on the black specialized lenovo wearing a tank top and gaudy looking Maui crest necklace, you're going the wrong way. Yes, it can be ridden both ways, in the same way you *can* drive down the wrong side of the freeway. Doesnt mean you should.

Just because you can't ride it the other direction doesn't mean that its the wrong way. Its an awesome technical challenge west to east, that is 100% possible.

Technical challenge? On a bike that does the work for you? Look, dude, you couldve just said you don't understand my comment instead of assuming I couldn't ride it west to east. Would've been a lot less typing for you. For the record tho, I can - just haven't ever wanted to do so. I like other trails for tech climbs.

Technically Church Rocks starts north of the highway next to Prospector. The part of this trail that goes through the Grapevine Pass tunnel, and up to the water tower, are not part of Church Rocks. Just a suggestion to make the map more accurate.

After the dinosaur tracks and before the horrible sand hill, you should turn around. Beyond the tracks is a sandy nightmare that will suck your energy. Just go back on the trail for a more pleasant experience and avoid this sandy hill and road section.

Some very steep drop-offs on this one, or was it Brackens. At one point I got stuck with only a 45-50 degree drop. I made it thought so roar

Very much enjoyed this trail after doing the Church Rocks loop. Rode this east to west which was great, nice downhills with a couple tough technical steep sections. The last section on the western end is washed out steep and fully sandy. Might be worth just turning around and getting a work out on the way back up.

Rode east to west and had a blast. Lots of downhill and a few techy rock rolls made it worth the climb up the Grapevine road. Great views too!

East to West is a blast on a bike. Lots of great drops. But you pay for it with the sand trap, vertical hike at the end to get back up to the road. Consider bailing early.

This is really just a connector trail between Dino Cliffs and Church Rocks. It serves it's point but not necessarily a fun trail in and of itself.

Our whole family loves this trail both for hiking and mountain biking! Can be riding either direction but we prefer Prospector south to the water tower/sandy hill. This direction is more downhill with a few really fun sandstone drops!

The road leading up to the trail is currently closed because it’s washed out, so if you want to park in the neighborhood and ride to the trail head, it’s about 5 miles instead of 2.9mi.

Wonderful trail! I live only 10 minutes away so I come to this trail often with friends. It has a lot of technical pieces to it and a few drop offs. There are TONS of places to take pictures if that's your thing. Its by far my favorite trail in Washington and in my opinion, is much more fun and entertaining than church rocks.

I’d classify myself as a beginner but I loved this trail. I definitely had to walk my bike a few times. My husband and I would love to ride this one again.

If you take grapevine to church rocks it's a great 10 mile round trip. Mostly slick rock. Phenomenal views of St. George/Washington.

The turnaround at the North East makes a fun technical climb. Good to ride it both ways. There are some fun alternative lines to drop off of. Good way to keep people of various abilities engaged. My 5 yr old liked riding the tunnel in the dark. He thought it was spooky fun.

This trail sucks. Really deep sand that will swallow your tires. Maybe it would be okay with a fat bike.
