La Via d’Acqua Nord è un canale irriguo di 7,3 chilometri che, riconnettendo tratti di rogge e canali esistenti, collega il Canale Villoresi al Sito di Expo 2015, affiancata da un percorso ciclopedonale di oltre 8 chilometri attraverso il Parco Groane, si sviluppa tra i campi, lambisce laghetti, boschi e corsi d’acqua e collega il nord-ovest milanese con il sito e la città di Milano.
Da sito di Expo 2015, l'itinerario presentato si allunga fino al centro di Milano.

Le Vie d’Acqua, realizzate in occasione di Expo Milano 2015, hanno valenza tematica e storica: si connettono ai principali temi legati all'evento, la salvaguardia di questa risorsa come bene comune e la sua tutela come diritto universale e ricuciono il legame storico di Milano con l’acqua sulla memoria dei Navigli, delle chiuse leonardesche, della Darsena come porto della città.

Le Vie d’Acqua comprendono il potenziamento e la riconnessione di percorsi e circuiti ciclabili lungo i canali e attraverso i parchi a nord e a ovest di Milano per spingersi poi, da una parte, fino al Ticino e al Lago Maggiore e, dall’altra, fino a Villa e Parco Reale di Monza. Gli interventi hanno compreso lavori di riqualificazione e ripristino di antichi percorsi interrotti, la promozione e la valorizzazione del territorio rurale e del sistema dei parchi.

Ciclovia della Via d'Acqua Nord is a 15 mile popular easy route located near Garbagnate Milanese. This gravel bike primary route can be used both directions and has a easy overall physical rating.
