This is a loop that starts with the Clear Creek trail taken to the Spooner TRT trail head. Next section is the TRT from Spooner to Sierra Canyon trail turn off about a mile past the bench. Drop the Sierra Canyon trail, take a right on the Discovery trail followed shortly by a tight left onto the Sierra Canyon lower portion. Take a right on the gravel road and first left still on gravel. Take a left on the paved Jacks Valley Rd.for about 6 miles.

Loop can be adjusted to start in Genoa. The city park has bathrooms and running water. One could also include one of the other trails in Genoa.

Hang on tight, this is one of those gravity vortex trails that is down hill but you’d never know it if you closed your eyes. More tight corners and near tree handlebar misses than you ever thought was possible. Honestly a work of art that a trail was able to be built so flat and yet still descend +2000 ft . Don’t be fooled, once you get up to speed you’ll hit a quadruple shicane or squeeze between 3 trees a handlebars width apart.
Honestly great views and really cool you can bike single track from Carson to the trt, just have to work for it both up and down. Great beginner trail or link it up with the bench.

The rocky sections had huge drop offs and went on for a few miles- maybe 5 or so. Wasn’t expecting that. Just a ton of loose rock slide, not like a rock garden. Was hoping for a fun, flowy downhill. A bit disappointed in this one.

The forest is closed now due to extreme fire danger. The ranger came in and put the signs up just as we were starting our ride. By the time we finished up the smoke was heavy from the surrounding wildfires. Confirm on National Forest website for updates.

There are a couple of fallen trees/logs blocking the trail! The trail gets a little icy towards The Knob, as well! Stay safe, friends♡

Quite long for how little vertical you lose. Unsurprisingly chill

This trail was built by amateurs. There is no flow, no rhythm, and no fun. People need to think before wasting their time building substandard trails on public land. This is a great mountain in our backyard that should have a great trail. Now the trail will never be any better, never be rebuilt. It is too close to trees and in places too steep. People skid this pos because it was improperly built. Build trails correctly and there is no need to skid. This is the worst trail anywhere.

Still have snow drifts at 7,000 foot. Another warm week and they should be gone.

Currently mostly dry until trees (some snow in canyons). Variable snow in first part of trees. Pretty snowy after that. Made it to about 1 - 2 miles below the knob. Snow was rideable when warm and sunny, but might get icy later in the day.

Rode this today from the Eagle Canyon trailhead. Nice and dry way up, then a few patches of snow easy to get past. About a half mile from the top there was a lot more snow and I decided I didn't want to hike that much so I went down. Given that it's going to warm up, should be good to go pretty soon.
