Trail Templeton
I agree with last comment. I took it from Hiline and it’s not that fun. Techy climbs where I had to walk most of the time. I guess it’s more fun to ride it the other direction.

Do not ride this in the direction indicated. Start on Templeton near Cathedral and drop down in. Super fun.

Climbing up this on the way back from hi line is very challenging. Unless you are very good at tech climbs I think you would not enjoy going up this. I bet it would be sweet going down though.

Nice, flowy, true green trail. Very good for beginners, plenty wide, with few rocks or obstacles, and those can be easily avoided. Heavy use, often by hikers, some with dogs. So be careful, and respectful as you pass. Excellent condition a few days after an early January snowstorm.

Early January, 2022, most of this trail is in decent, rideable condition, though there are patches of mud, a couple of which probably should be walked. Some of the mud has turned small bits of the techy rocks a bit sketchy in places, but nothing dangerous. There are spots of ice in standing water, which should melt out in coming days.

Rode from Llama to Chicken Pt and back down to the bottom. Uphill was not bad at all, as long as you can roll up the occasional 1-2 ft high step (other than the mega-step/chute at the east end... you'll know it when you see it!), the rest of the gardens had pretty obvious lines to follow; a lot of "blue" trails have gnarlier/more exhausting climbs. Definitely lots of hikers along the way to say hi to, views at the top are worth the climb. And of course the ride down was a blast!

Trail Hogwash
The Hogs loop feels like you're always climbing and never really descending. There are a couple of super fun, very short tech downhills but then right back into washes and pedaly sections. The views are great and the trail building is excellent but if you have a limited time in Sedona, there are better trails to ride.

Trail Hogwash
I feel like a blend for @bensigig and @djevans. Mostly a twister with bits of up and down. Great run riding. Some tech bits are intermediate for sure, but almost all ridable, maybe on second try. But the exposure is attention getting throughout, and gripping in spots. And some of those tricky spots have even more exposure than average, and are off camber for extra spice. So those sections need to be committed to, or plan to walk (three or four sections of 20 feet?).

Great descending trail. Comparing Peccary to Mystic to Hogwash vs Hogwash, I found it more fun to bomb this down from Hogwash and come up Mystic than to do the west half of Hogwash.

Trail Templeton
Always this coming from the east. Prefer Easy Breezy for it's fun beginning section rather than the ups and downs of Templeton west to east. But I'm not knocking Templeton at all. It's great riding with excellent views. Skip the switch backs to the river for a shorter ride. But Buddha Beach and the excellent Bauldwin are not to be missed, even if you have to hike your bike up a 1/4 mile of steep trail (90% of which is ridable on the way down).

Trail Easy Breezy
Totally agree with @ThatGuy-MTB. The beginning mile plus from Templeton down off the slick rock is superb riding, with some big drop options and super fun fast flow. The rest of EB is great cross country flow with a few creek crossings that make for spice (one is probably not rideable by normal humans). If you had the legs, back out on Templeton is more scenic, but this trail is a great respite from the ups and downs of the area.

Rode this trail a s a connector from Slim Shady to Eazy Breezy, so rode it east to west. Loved the down hill portions. There were a couple of fun areas to session and a nice techy climb at one point. The views were amazing and the overall trail is in great shape but was crazy dry today. I would love to ride this section when it is nice and tachy.

Holy crap, what a fun trail. The drop in point is fantastic. Plenty of drops, little jumps and a multitude of options. After that it is a fairly mellow trail except for the outpoints at each wash crossing. Some were easy to climb and others offered a bit of a challenge. This trail has a little bit of everything for sure.

The Hog Trails are a must-ride for any intermediate-expert rider in Sedona. Some say they're as difficult as Hiline, but I disagree. There's nothing as steep or loose. The technical parts are mostly tricky narrow sections of the trail with exposure to the side. If you want to make it more challenging there are plenty of alt-lines to the side to play around on. Trail Hogwash
A note to the intermediate riders -- I took my dad (an intermediate rider) on this trail today based off bensgig's comment above. While maybe not as technically difficult as Hog Heaven, this trail is not what I would consider to be intermediate-friendly. There is quite a bit of exposure along narrow, up and down trail that I think would make most intermediate riders fairly uncomfortable. You aren't going to die if you fall, but the rider's left gives way to 10 - 25 ft embankments/slick rock drops where a fall could result in a potentially serious injury. We also found there to be more than "a few" technical spots that would give an intermediate rider trouble. Would recommend Slim Shady, Templeton, & Easy Breezy to those looking for more intermediate-friendly black diamond trails.

With that said, I think most advanced riders would enjoy this trail. Personally, I would rate this as a fairly solid black diamond and Hog Heaven a double black diamond.

It is a slow Tech up and down for most of the time. A little bit of a grind but as you get to the other trails that it connects to it is worth it. Are usually ride it every time I come here. People go to encounter tons of hikers going both directions. I would say the trail is a little bit of intermediate more with a tiny bit of advanced points

This trail was good. Totally rideable in both directions for an intermediate rider. I don’t know why it says advanced. Because I don’t think it was that bad but there were a few spots that I would say some people would have trouble with. But definitely a fun little trail I would do again

Trail Templeton
Took this West to East on the way from Hiline and Baldwin with a short stop at the creek. Very hard and steep uphill near the beginning that you have to walk your bike up. Later on when it snakes around Cathedral rock is a very nice, fast, and wide bare rock trail(relatively flat). After that you'll find some short, fast, and flowy descents. But it doesn't last very long because as you approach the road crossings(which are tunnels that go underneath AZ 179)it's all uphill with some short flats. Recommend it as appose to Easy Breezy.

Agree with the "RideThoseTrails" post saying it's maybe 5% expert. I'm no expert, but I can ride most of this trail without walking. It's a nice change of pace trail for the area, as it sticks with the creek-bed and it stays shady and cool for the most part.

Trail Templeton
One of my favorites in the area because it has a lot of variation in terrain and geography. On the north end after a very steep descent, you link up to a section that runs along Oak Creek which is very shady and cool!

Trail Templeton
Tough downhill at the north end and no easy way back once you commit to the final downhill. However a great river scene to reward you for the difficult downhill.

Trail Easy Breezy
Great trail with a couple demanding sections and several winding flow sections. Great way up or down from one area parking area to the other.

Fun fun trail! Flowy by Sedona standards. Just wish it was longer! But it is defiantly worth riding
