Great trail! Some things to consider
1..This trail rides super great going North from the Pass Trail. It makes a great connector to get to Engine Creek and White Creek trails. A fantastic ride is Pass Trail to North on Engineer then White Creek trail to the CT then down Graysill and Cascade or Engineer to Engine Creek trail and down to Cascade.

2…From the junction of White Creek and Engine Creek trails this trail going South has a few steep uphill hike a bike sections and overall climbs upward as you go South towards Pass Trail.

Overall a fantastic trail

I did this both as a self-shuttle loop through Pass Creek, and as a shuttle from Molas pass. While there are some really fun parts on the upper parts of the Engineer trail, I would definitely pick the Pass Creek route over the other.

I LOVED this trail! got dropped off at the very top of Molas Pass and climbed “CT (Rolling Mountain)” which was a really nice climb. Finished with this great downhill and epic views. Warning mostly hike-a-bike from mile 1.3 to 1.7 as it is steep with steeps, only took a few mins. I’m glad I did the biggest shuttle the views and raw mountains were amazing! Careful some of the ruts are diagonal and try to slip you out.

Trail Coal Creek
Try to avoid doing this trail uphill. Its not a good time. Use Pass trail to access.

There's really no reason to climb Coal Creek. Pass Creek is a much better climb.
