River Valley Cycling and Mountain Bike Minto are proud to present the inaugural Coal Miner’s Lung Mountain Bike Race!

Location: Race will begin and lap through downtown Minto. Race registration will take place behind the Minto Fire Hall (191 Main Street). There is plenty of parking around downtown.

Format: 20km (1 lap), 40 km (2 laps), 60 km (3 laps). The course is ~ 6-7 km of paved road and/or ATV trail and the rest singletrack. Cut-off times will be in effect to be respectful of the time donated by the volunteers. 40km riders must start their 2nd lap by 1pm, and 60km riders must start their 3rd lap by 2pm.

Categories: Male/Female for 20/40/60 km, podium prizes for top three in each category. Special category: Darth Vader (60km only). Large selection of draw prizes for all participants.

The NB Power mine reclamation group will be reshaping some of the slopes near the 8200 trail with heavy equipment. There will be two posted “Caution- Construction Ahead’ signs. Due to safety reasons, there should be no biking allowed in the work area when the equipment is on site. This work could extend till the end of September. Updates will be posted here as the project progresses.
