First time doing this trail. PLEASE PUT A SIGN AT THE TOP. Every mtber climbing it I came across didn't even move, Hella rude. Just yelled at the wife an I and said it's one way! Put a sign at the top. Will not be coming back. These trails are all uphill. Full of bike snobs.

Trail Trail A
early on trail A, there is a bifurcation. go LEFT to stay on the trail. going right leads to a dead end creek and then u have to hike up steep terrain (following the other unlucky chaps who had made the same mistke) back up to trail A. on strava, the unnamed trail that u should avoid is called SPUR.

Trail Penn Trail
mostly pretty basic but i agree that there r at least 2 segments that i find hard to believe even a pro mtber could climb. so steep, loose rock, and slippery when wet. those segments r NOT green class

Penn Trail from parking lot is an ascent trail to Trail A. One Way sign at bottom. Need one at top.

Expect a decent workout, very steep the whole way up. Lots of ruts left by dirtbikes

This is a little steep and narrow to describe it as a ‘green circle’ mountain bike trail -Smile

Trail 001
1800' of trail tucked between Hayden & Coeur d'Alene. It's more of a gravity oriented trail and as that it is on the city face, much of the trail is through a non-motorized zone and is free of moto ruts. You can find DH steeps up top filtering into open views of both Rathrdrum Mountain and Lake Coeur d'Alene. As you near Minors Loop you can find all sorts of XC friendly single track with more technical and jump line off shoots as well. Everything empties onto Shaddock through the City Canfield Trail System and is multi-use and non-motorized, so be curtious and be on the lookout for foot traffic as you enter the Minor's Loop Trail area. Minor's Loop is bike friendly and is a fun zig zag down.
