Coolaney village nestled in the heart of the Ox mtns is a short 750m cycle to the NorthWests newest trail centre. Only approx 6km of blue trail completed with 2km of red trail in construction.. on top of the mountain they is a fire road cycle which offers spectacular views of Balisadare and sligo bays and the landmark knocknarea mtn... this trail centre is planned to be an 80km worldclass mountain bike centre when completed in 2021.. as of now June 2019 the trail centre is not open but the trails on this route are rideable (at your own risk)

Coolaney village to trail centre trails and back is a 13 mile moderately popular intermediate route located near Sligo. This mountain bike primary route can be used one direction and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route climbs 1,293 ft with a max elevation of 754 ft then descends -1,294 ft.

The route from the village to the mountain bike centre as listed here diverts from the road to the single track double ditch walk path. This narrow path is used by locals, some walking with children, pushchairs or dogs, and it is not really suitable as a biking route. It would be far better to also use the return route as the outbound route.
