The start of the Blue trail is different to the rest, from the start it turns right and passes the paking area before winding up towards the gate. The bulk of the elevation gain is right at the start before flowing 4km down towards the dam. The route features big banked corners to help keep the speed up. Riders then follow the dam for 2kms before turning up towards the platforms at Rebels Vlei. A last bit of singletrack keeps you on your toes before turning home.
