Trail The Trough
Quicker but steeper than the FS road on the ridge. Good if you want to descend Royalty or Buck from the Timberview Parking lot.

Trail Royalty
This and Gauntlet are both, on the signs at the park, Double Black. They are not the same level. Royalty is a lot more aggressive. Especially in the middle. One really crazy left hand turn that drops a solid 2 feet mid turn. Definitely not for smooth trail fans! Techy.

Tried climbing. Nah. The best can climb it. The rest of us will have to descend it. Turned into a 50% hikeabike for me uphill!

Trail The Gauntlet
Definitely NOT a double black. More of a mix of blue and black. Either way it's a fun and fast trail. Chunky, but not too chunky. Everything can be rolled if you want to stay planted.

Ton of fun. The trail sign has it as a double black. Definitely not. The first bit is a blue square, then the gnarly descent is a black and the rest after is blue again.

Trail The Gauntlet
Trailforks calls this blue, signpost calls it double black, I’d call it a solid single black. Trailforks description is wrong - it’s describing OG jump line. This trail is fast and chunky, and easily in the top 5 most fun trails I’ve ever ridden.

Don't ride this after eating only a few Krispy Kreme donuts.

One of my favorite trails at Carvin's. Fast with some tight turns and chunky drops and roots to keep you on your toes.

Not the best one for downhill due to the climber. Can be a big challenge for few rider don't like or not good on climbing trail. Fire road is easier on top .

Trail The Trough
When climbed, this trail starts out as meandering singletrack, and turns into an unrelenting straight shot up the mountain. A considerable challenge for confident climbers, and a long hike-a-bike for everyone else. However, the trails at the top of the climb make the effort entirely worth it. Several worn-down lips and landings still exist along the edges of the trail, but with the amount of loose rock, and the uphill traffic, this may not be the optimal descending trail.

Description is wrong it’s a double black enduro downhill trail. This is not a machine built jump trail The Trail OG is the machine built jump trail. That being said this trail is awesome it’s super fast and long one of my favorite trails

It's not a "double black enduro downhill trail". The IMBA Trail Difficulty Rating System puts it at a blue square

Always thought it was a single black. It might have been a blue in the 90s but erosion has made the trail a lot more gnarly with more exposed roots.

Trail Royalty
Really awesome trail to get a taste of multiple riding styles. Starts off steep and twisty with the occasional drop or jump made more technical by tricky approaches. Then opens up more, slightly less steep, but faster and flowier. A seriously fun run and the easiest get to from the Timberview Parking Lot.
