This tour starts from the Pilastri and visits the Cretaio crater. It's a ride that doesn't require special training or mountain biking skills. The blue rating is due to only to some difficulties within the crater, to overcome some natural or artificial rock steps, both uphill and downhill.
The tour begins at the Pilastri and then climbs along the Via Nuova dei Ponti, from which it deviates to take an easy singletrack that leads to the slopes of Monte Rotaro.
From here, you climb to the top of Monte Rotaro through a path in a pine forest. The uphill path may require you to carry the bike on your shoulder for a few meters, if you don't have the necessary training and skill to overcome the steps.
From the top of Monte Rotaro, you descend on a singletrack with fairly regular steps. The descent is fun, and if you have sufficient skills, it can also be taken at high speeds. It's also enjoyable at slower speeds though.
At the end of the steps, you arrive at a clearing from which you can take loops inside the "crater". I have no idea if it's actually a crater, but it seems like it and it's quite suggestive. The forest is beautiful.
Once you've toured the crater, you can climb back up a road with steps, which are fairly easy to navigate on a bike. In the last section, the steps become taller, and the last few can be quite challenging, so you might need to walk the bike for a few meters.
From there, you climb and then descend on the slope of Mount Rotaro, down to the coastal road, also overcoming fairly regular but somewhat uneven steps.
From the coastal road, follow Via Quercia and then a few other typical Ischia streets until you return to the main road and the Pillars.
This route is characterised by steps, but is short and fun. The forest in the crater is beautiful and is worth visiting also for nice hike.

Large tree down across trail, blocking trail. It requires walking the bike around a tree. There is a small deviation, not easy to see and follow.
