Wanna do Deadmans Ridge without a shuttle? This is it. This loop takes some dedication going up on the forest service road, but the reward is a fun rowdy 3,000 ft descent from the top of Blue Mountain to the valley floor. Beware, the high north aspects off the forest service road can hold snow till almost June.

Clear of snow but still plenty of ruts and loose rock. Beware of a trail split at mile 7.3. Stay to the left at the top of the knob and don't drop down to the right. I have no idea where that trail goes but it's steep and a bitch to climb back up (sigh!).
