If you're searching for some rowdy and unique desert riding, this is the loop for you. This route takes you along the beginnings of Chuckwagon and Mescal and then throws you down the Canyon of Fools. From the AZ Cypress Trailhead, head up Snake to Girdner to connect to Chuckwagon. Continue to ride the full Chuckwagon trail, which gives you some punchy short climbs, some more sustained, followed by flowy and fast downhills. Climb the beginnings of Mescal to the picturesque amphitheater. Don't let the views distract you from the trail - Mescal has a couple of spicy moves. Almost to the end of the amphitheater you'll see the trail intersection and drop in for Canyon of Fools. This trail follows an arroyo (a small desert canyon) with some technical and hard features. The faster you go the smoother it gets. Return to the Trailhead via OK trail and AZ Cypress.
