More fun than it looks. Barely need your brakes going downhill (Northwest)

There is no reason that deadwood shouldn’t be climbed. It is not directional, nor should it be, great climb, somewhat boring downhill.

Trail Deadwood
Deadwood is a fun, mostly downhill trail that’s on our course every time we ride Eagle Mountain. Pedaling is necessary to maintain speed throughout Deadwood and there’s some fun turns and pops throughout.

I'm not sure why this trail is so highly rated, it's generic, flat, and pedally for the most part. Towards the end there is a nice flowy section.

Trail Deadwood
This trail is more green in both directions than anything else I have ridden. I felt like I had to stay on the pedals all the way down to maintain speed, sort of like riding a converted rail trail. No doubt this will be my go to if I am taking someone on their first ever mountain bike ride. There is perhaps a flaw with our difficulty rating system if this and Big mountain trail can be rated the same difficulty. Even Anns trail feels like a black in comparison.

Lots of powdery snow that hasn’t been packed yet. Mine were the second tracks behind a fat bike and I struggled on skinnies. Walk a lot of it
