stage 3 Sea Otter Enduro 2018

NOTE -- 2017 they posted this map showing here on Trailforks, but the real course was just trail 82: https://www.strava.com/segments/9286730?filter=overall

I can't tell if they really plan to run this as the course in 2018, but I would practice both to be sure.

the Trail 82 is way more fun as an enduro leg as it leaves out the climb on Pilarcitos Ridge.

I hate this stage and won’t be racing the SOC enduro again after participating the last 3 years. Rather focus on DH and DS than ruin my weekend beginning with this Thursday Fail.

Edit - this map in incorrect as well. As marked here, (u-turn on Pilarcitos) it would be a soul-crushing endeavor.

Very loose and sandy, most berms have no support or very little. Significant braking bumps and the catch berms need a full overhaul this winter. Most berms are full sand and are not big enough to sustain the speed at which this trail is meant to be ridden. The builders need to ensure berms are made of clay and not sand so that it hard packs in the summer.. A great trail that needs a lot of work this winter.
