This ride will start just past Quest University. Park on University Boulevard or at the first trailhead parking lot off Garibaldi Park road, about 500m after the road turns to gravel it will be on the left. Caution, the potholes as the road turns from sealed tarmac to gravel can be horrendous.
The lower legacy climb trail is a nice way to get up, the lower section provides coverage from the rain or shade from the sun, while the middle sections are in a relatively new cut block and provide little shelter from the elements. If it’s overly hot and sunny, or pouring rain, you may want to hit the road after the first climb section to expedite the route to the top.
Starting off with Ditch Pig will get you accustom to the Squamish dirt and allow you to warm up before being treated to some flow, granted that you have to work for, found on Hybrid, Mcloud and Whet Yer Blade.
If you are feeling it, we suggest you take on the hill climb challenge on the way up to Your Mom. You'll know what we're talking about when you get there.
Expect this ride to take anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on fitness levels.
