Recent Trail Reports Along Route

If you're like me and you've been eyeing up the South side of Terrace Mtn these last few days thinking (hoping!), "hmmm ... I wonder if there's any part of the trail that's rideable yet?" Let me assure you, there isn't. I hiked (read: post-holed) around the loop today. A few sections (from Johnstone to the first switchback) are covered with just a few inches of compact ice. Other sections (the entire North side) are just pure rotten crud that's anywhere from 6" to 18" deep. I had my hand saw with me so I took out two trees that were across the trail, but there are two more that are partially buried by snow that are still blocking the trail. (One just before the Downtube junction and another on one of the lower bridges before the Backeddy junction). I'll try to get back up there in the next week or so to take out the others. We'll be riding soon (ish)! reporter
