This is one of our favorite flow routes at Rocky Knob and is featured in Freehub Magazine's Pisgah Photo Book: Issue 6.3.

The PBJ is Rocky Knob's signature trail for Pumps, Berms, and Jumps. First built in 2013 as a part of the Park's Skills Areas, the trail features rollers, tabletops, and berms of many configurations. The trail was reshaped in the summer of 2015 and includes new jumps, step ups, transfers, and alternate lines. While all features are rollable, it is recommended to roll it slowly your first time to get a feel for the speed and rhythm.

The trail begins from "The Saddle." Ride Rocky Branch Trail to Middle Earth Trail to the obvious signage at a flat area before the cell tower. The top section can be sessioned and will give you a feel for the trail as a whole. Be sure to check out the other skills areas nearby: Stone Binge's advanced features will challenge most riders. Skinny Skills will give you a good opportunity to practice your old school skinny techniques. Riders seeking more miles should continue on Middle Earth to Boat Rock and Ol Hoss then return to the PBJ.

Access
From Boone, drive US 421S east out of town towards Wilkesboro. Continue 0.7 miles past Bamboo Road. The entrance to Rocky Knob Park is on the right through a large timber frame structure.
