High Point

Collection of low grade climbing sections to connect existing trails and an old skid road creating a west side climbing route. Don't let the difficulty ratings fool you, this is a tough climb. The trail is sustained uphill with few breaks, often very technical.
It is a physically demanding climb that gets more challenging the higher you go.

Thanks to HUGE efforts from our community, the entire climbing route on Fromme opened officially in late 2015. Ongoing improvements and maintenance will continue into 2017.

The NSMBA heartily thanks all of the volunteers, lead builders and groups who have contributed significant efforts to complete the route opened to this point including: Arc'teryx, MEC, Rocky Mountain Bicycles, BC Bike Race, Deloitte, Knight PiƩsold & Steed Cycles.
The NSMBA would like to acknowledge the Lead Builders on this project that started with the DNV Trail Crew in 2011: Irish Pete, Pat Podolski, Todd Fiander, Brent Hillier, Owen Thomas, James Healey, Penny Deck, Tom Hudson, Randy Konrad, Gordo McNaughton.
This project would not have been possible without our strong partnership with the District of North Vancouver, inparticular, Trail & Habitat Coordinator Graham Knell (now retired).

Rode it last night. Pretty challenging in the best sense of the term.

Kudos to Graham Knell for working so well with ALL user groups in the District of North Vancouver.

Thanks Mark for your acknowledgement of Graham, too bad its too little to late.

When you live at the bottom of Mt Fromme, homework can wait. Especially if the sun's out.

From the Executioner connector entrance all is good. No snow. Looking above that point there appears to be snowy patchs though.

Wet snow on the trail pretty much from skid road right up to Baden Powell. Mostly climbable but the higher you go the more snow there is.

From Baden Powell down is snow covered until you get to skid road. From Skid road down it is more mud and snow and more rideable from there.

Wet and muddy but totally rideable. No trace of snow anywhere, up to and including, where the climbing trail meets Executioner. I didn't go any higher though to see where the snow does start.
