Leave the parking traveling back towards Franschhoek along the tar and turn right towards Scherpenheuwel, then on a contour towards the back of the Berg River Dam.
Drop down to the Berg River wier.
Climb up on the other side of the wier and another contour loop which ends back at the wier.
Hit the gravel road and pedal back to the parking along the banks of the Berg River Dam.
Detailed Description
FWV Scherpenheuwel Snake Alley Loop is a 12 mile popular intermediate route located near Franschhoek. This mountain bike primary route can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 8 trails. This route climbs 1,296 ft with a max elevation of 1,324 ft then descends -1,308 ft.
