Access by car:
Exit the motorway at the tollbooth of Masone, then continue on the Provincial road 456 in the direction of Campo Ligure.

This route is a loop with start and finish points in the sports ground of Campo Ligure. From there, ride across the old town centre, and then continue on asphalt towards Capanne di Marcarolo, where the evocative Sacrario dei Martiri della Benedicta monument stands as memorial for the Partisans who died in 1944. You will reach an obvious junction uphill on your left. After PrĂ  della Colla, straight on a switchback, take the dirt road that leads you to the start of the tough and technical climb known as Spaccacuori. On the first switchback there is a spring where you can fill up with water. A series of switchbacks and steep ramps strewn with rocks will take you up to Prato del Lupo. Here, leave the forest road and take the trail on the left that heads into the woods. After a few ups and downs, the first descend, known as Gardaland, finally begins. At the start it is easy, fast and smooth. The trail continues to the left slightly uphill, but it soon heads down again, into a rocky gully that needs a lot of focus. Follow the bend to the left, still on rough terrain, to reach a saddle from where the second part of the Gardaland trail begins. The track winds through the trees with a few avoidable choices on northshore and drops. At a high boardwalk on the left you can follow the track that continues the Gardaland trail and that takes you to Campo Ligure. Otherwise, you can continue toward Rossiglione along a fast downhill track with drops and doubles. When you reach a house, turn right: the trail becomes more technical. At the following junction, keep right: you will soon ride along the river and you will reach Rossiglione. Follow the signs to Genova-Autostrade; you will soon be back to the start, where you can visit the medieval castle of Spinola overlooking Campo Ligure or the unique Filigree Museum http://www.museofiligrana.org/.
