El relieve montañoso por el que discurre el GR 10 pertenece al Sistema Ibérico. A través de las serranías de Albarracín, Montes Universales y del Macizo de Javalambre, este sendero transcurre a menudo por encima de los 1.500 m. de altitud, alcanzando su cota más elevada en lo alto del Pico Javalambre (2.020 m.), techo de la provincia de Teruel. Estas alturas son el origen de ríos importantes: el Guadalaviar o Turia, el Cabriel, el Arcos y, sobre todo, el Tajo, el más largo de la Península Ibérica.

Los grandes pinares y carrascales son una constante que nos acompañarán en buena parte de los itinerarios, a destacar el Paisaje Protegido de los Pinares de Rodeno, en la sierra de Albarracín, así como amplios sabinares. Muchos son también los agrestes barrancos y desfiladeros que se abren paso entre los escarpes rocosos, sin olvidar otros importantes elementos como las dolinas, fuentes o formaciones arcillosas, que componen el marco natural que proporciona a este GR una belleza incomparable.

Desde época muy temprana el ser humano dejó su huella por estos territorios, destacando por su valor el conjunto de pinturas rupestres de estilo levantino dentro del Paisaje Protegido de los Pinares de Rodeno del Parque Cultural de Albarracín. Algunas de las poblaciones por donde discurre el sendero constituyen un tesoro monumental, presentando bellos caseríos que, en ocasiones, ven su atractivo incrementado por la situación, lo escarpado del terreno o su altitud.

El GR 10 forma parte del Sendero Europeo E-7, que discurre desde el Mar Negro (Rumanía) hasta Lisboa. Enlaza con el GR 8 en Camarena de la Sierra y con el GR 24 en Monterde de Albarracín.

GR 10 Valencia Portugal.-Tramo Aragón is a 107 mile moderately popular red route located near Teruel. This mountain bike primary route can be used both directions and has a hard overall physical rating. This route includes 38 trails. This route climbs 16,256 ft with a max elevation of 6,592 ft then descends -15,699 ft.
