If you want to fully experience Grand Targhee's cross-country trails, then the Grand Targhee Loop is the trail for you. You can ride this route in either direction and add other sections of the trail to increase the mileage. This loop became an IMBA EPIC trail in 2014. The IMBA EPICS designation denotes a true backcountry riding experience. IMBA EPICS are what many mountain bikers live for and make travel plans around: immersive rides that are technically and physically challenging, beautiful to behold and worthy of celebration. EPICS are more than 80 percent singletrack and at least 20 miles in length. The list is crowd-sourced with nominations accepted on an annual basis.

Nice loop. The southern portion is more fun in my opinion, but the northern one has really good trails, too (permagrin, for example). Not very technical, mostly smooth, fast singletrack. Beautiful landscape and views.
